Hi there, stranger...

After a long break from blogging, I'm feeling inspired and ready to return to blogging and make a conscious effort to get the most out of blogging. Last year I blogged until about August, then realised that sadly my heart just wasn't in it anymore, I took some time off. This year one of my New Years resolutions; is to improve the quality of my images and attend more blogger events.

Here's to the rest of 2016!

Lush: The Comforter Shower Gel

Out of all the new products I was looking forward to getting my mitts on this as, The Comforter is my favourite bubble bar and I had to simply try out the shower gel too!

100g/ £4.75

I opted for the smaller version to be on the safe side, but the bottles increase in size 250g/500g/1kg (wow.) Cost-wise I think its quite pricey for a shower gel. After using it this week I can report back. Visually it looks appealing in bright pink like The Comforter bar using the same ingredients but with added vanilla and blackberry. I was surprised at how strong the scent actually was, there is a lot of blackberry infusion in there, almost overpowering. Initially I thought it was since it's new, but even after a few uses I still feel the scent is overpowering. The scent does linger afterwards, like most Lush products which is always nice. The texture surprised me too, as it's so runny. Most shower gels are of a thick consistency this is the complete opposite, there was a good amount of bubbles though.

Overall it's nice but I feel a bit disappointed, the scent is so strong and I wasn't keen on the texture. In future I will be sticking to the bubble bars.

Happy Sunday!

New Lush Products!

Whilst in MCR, last week I picked up some of the new Lush products. I was gutted that a couple of my fav bath bombs were discontinued. I had seen a couple of products on Twitter and other blogs  so was looking forward to my next Lush visit to purchase a couple of products from the new range.
The Comforter... in a bottle!!!
The original Comforter bubble bar is one of my fav lush products.  It smells amazing with: Cassis Absolute, Cypress oil, Bergamot oil (like the bubble bar) plus vanilla (fav) and blackberry infusion. I can’t wait to try this out, keep an eye for a review later this week.

Pink Flamingo Birds of a Feather
It’s a flamingo bubble bar, what’s not to like!! The bubble bar- wands that are part of the Christmas range are such a good idea, they last so much longer. I reckon I will get at least 3 baths out of this product as it’s fairly big. The scent is: Rosewood, Ylang Ylang, Cocoa butter (fav), Macadamia Nut Oil and Shea butter (fav)!

Milky Bath (bubble bar)
The name doesn’t sound that appealing, but it does smell nice and has Cocoa butter in, so I thought it was worth a try. Unlike most Lush products its white, with silver glitter base ( I picked the least dirty one). Be warned the silver glitter goes everywhere! Scent wise you can really pick up on the Orange oil and Cocoa butter. It’s not massive and the glitter is a concern, as I have only opened the packet for photos and its everywhere!

What are your must have's out of the new Lush range?

Happy Monday

River Island Sale...

Hi there, it’s been a while since my last post way back when it was my birthday, so I thought I would start back with one of my favourite things: handbags! Last month all the sales kicked in, I popped in to River Island and had a good rummage and found a leather bag I’d previously wanted only this time it was in the sale and £20 less!

I love this bag, it literally fits everything in! There’s a zip pocket and two sections for your phone and anything else. Like I said it’s so roomy, ideal for travelling or if like me you carry everything in your handbag ‘just in case’. The only downside and the reason I didn’t buy it when it was £45 is that the zip doesn’t cover all the way across, which for me was major safety flaw. However at £25 I can get over that! I’m just slightly more careful when in a busy environment. I’ve not usually a fan of over the shoulder bags it's not my preferred style, but this bag is great, I can fit all my usual bits and bobs I carry in my handbag daily, A4 notepads, umbrella and there’s still room!

The only thing...sometimes the content did fall into the middle of bag, which isn't ideal when your phones ringing or you need to grab an item quick. I would recommend using an old make up bag to keep your phone/train pass/key etc in so you can grab them quickly when needed. I'm so glad I waited to purchase this bag, it's roomy,a  great colour combination, good quality leather and fits everything in, plus more!

What did you pick up in the River Island sale?

Thanks for reading!
